Bursary Stories
As we approach the Annual Bursary Fund Day, we recently had a chat with one of last year’s beneficiary of the fund. Meet Samuel Mungai, a 3rd-year B.Ed student
“Coming from a family with 5 siblings who are all in school it was quite challenging for my parents to raise tuition fees. I almost dropped out of school, before I heard about the MIUC bursary fund through the social media platforms. I was quite excited about this and took the initiative to participate in the activities that were meant to help raise funds.
I managed to secure some tuition fees during my second year at MIUC. Securing this amount helped me a lot and even reduced my parent’s burden. I was quite motivated to work harder as my worries about school fees were cleared. The MIUC Bursary Fund is real and if you can contribute towards it. Let us come together to help support our friends to achieve their dreams. We will in-turn make our society a better place.
MIUC is an amazing place to be apart from academics I like the educational workshops that the school has been organizing, they are very rich in terms of knowledge. Also, Research Plus is doing a great job of teaching students how to go about their projects.
To support the bursary fund join us on the 21st of March at 9 am for the Annual Bursary Fundraiser. You can also be a part of this by participating in the raffle for just 50 shillings and get the chance to win a smart TV and lots of other prizes. You can buy as many tickets as you can to increase your chances of winning.
